Shirley won both Professional Watercolour Challenge (Channel 4) and the accolade
of praise from judge Brian Sewell... praise indeed.
In her first year of membership of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water
Colours Shirley
won the Windsor and Newton award for best paintings in the annual RI show.
Shirley's first book, Taking Risks With Watercolour was nominated for the 2005 Artists' Choice Award for art instruction book of the year.
